International Geodetic Student Meeting and
International Geodetic Student Organisation

International Geodetic Student Meeting (IGSM), is a memorable event that aims to assamble geodetic students, who are from different cultures and countries . Every year, Geodetic students from all over the world, come together in order to know each other, share the experiences and cultures. IGSM has been organized the first time in the Netherland in 1988 by the geodesy students in Delft University of Technology and the other meetings have followed this. Because of these three meetings are succeful, it has been decided to institutionalized and International Geodetic Student Organisation has been founded in 1992 in the 4th meeting in Graz, Austria. In every meeting, the organisator country of two-year later meeting is elected among the candidate countries at the General Assembley. At the moment IGSO has 72 members from 28 countries.
